Le Cheval Blanc has recently re-opened under new ownership.  Yann and Fanny are a dynamic young couple with a wealth of experience in the restaurant industry with several previous successful openings in the UK and Paris.   The couple source local produce and wines for their innovative modern menu which changes on a weekly basis to reflect seasonal produce.  The lunch time menu you can choose from two courses or three at very good value or the a la carte.  Dishes are akin to modern fusion bistro style. We recently visited at lunch and had soft poached egg served on a bed of mushrooms in cream sauce with parsley oil and croutons, followed by slow cooked pork belly with star anise sauce and sweet potato rostis.  The a la carte menu features four entrees, mains and desserts which all sound delicious making it a difficult choice or a good excuse to keep returning.

The décor has been modernised with a fresh yet cosy atmosphere with wooden floors, a melange of seating with wooden tables and chairs or benches, highlighted with their accent colour of green and a range of art work.

Yann and Fanny are great hosts with a friendly personal yet professional service.  The bar area has a TV showing all sports and the latest edition is a pool table.  This is the perfect place to relax, enjoy a drink or a meal whether it is casual or for a special occasion.
